Wizard Amplification   Commercial Photography  Over the past few weeks I have been doing product photography for Wizard Amplification. Wizard is a Canadian company dedicated to the design and manufacturing of high-end tube amplifiers and speaker cabinets. Wizard's founder and CEO Rick St. Pierre is currently ACDC's Road manager and Dusty Hill's (ZZ Top) guitar tech. Indie Guitars   Commercial Photography  For the past few months I have been involved with a UK company called "Indie Guitars" which will soon be introduced to the North American market. My function within this new company includes product photography, creation of promotional material and design and coding of the US / Canadian website. Sam   Pet Photography  This photograph is of "Serious Sam," a little gray and white stray that I took in when the storm, Katrina, hit where I live. At that point Katrina had lost most of its punch and the result was a lot of heavy rains. Marc Thomas   Portrait  This photograph was taken of me last weekend for the new recording Studio that I am now part of called "DreamBuilderStudios" which services the Independent Film and Audio Industry. For the past few years my photography as taken me into the field of music and films which are two great loves of mine. I am also fortunate to be involved with several companies for whom I do commercial photography and graphic art. Mojo Guitars   Commercial Photography  Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting two Mojo Guitars on a brand new Cambo product table which I recently acquired. Mojo Guitars is a local guitar manufacturing company operating out of the Ottawa Valley since April, 2007 between entrepreneur/luthier Peter Nichol and entrepreneur/woodworker Shawn Lauzon.     For a larger image and info click on the above thumbnails.

Marc Thomas   DreamBuilderStudios  Here are some shots that I recently took of the Audio Control Room at DreamBuilderStudios. For the past three years I have been involved with DreamBuilderStudios which is a new Micro Studio Complex that is being constructed for the purpose of servicing the Independent Film and Audio Industry. My function in this new venture is to provide artists with commercial photography services such as CD art covers, band photos, posters, T-shirts and other promotional items. CD Art Cover Design:   Orpheus   This is a new CD Art cover I recently completed, called Orpheus/Thermal Fusion. I originally shot the dress form and the television against a rustic background in my studio. Once I had the photograph uploaded in Photoshop I began to distress the image by adding scratches and dirt stains using several Photoshop brushes. Showcases:   OneModelPlace  Today I was surprised to hear that 3 of my photos were chosen for showcase images on OneModelPlace which I've been a member of for several years. These are the first showcases I've had on OMP so it's a very pleasant surprise. Two of the showcases are with the beautiful model/singer, Kelly Abbass and the other is with Montreal's 'Scream Queen,' Isabelle Stephen. I would like to take this time to thank both Kelly and Isabelle for their talents and being so much fun to work with; without you guys I would never been able to achieve this .     For more images and words click on the above thumbnails.

Odessa Nyx:   Living in Decay  These lastest images were taken while I was doing a photoshoot with a Dark Metal band called Endless Curse. Howling Syn:   Band Photography  A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with a progressive, goth/metal band called Howling Syn. The photo session was for their upcoming CD called "A Modern Taste of Evil" which will be available soon! The Montreal based band consists of Patryk Pigeon (music, lyrics, vocals, bass, programming) Sophie LeMay (lyrics, vocals, flute) and guitarist, JF Burman.     For more images and words click on the above thumbnails.

Triton Tools:   Commercial Photography  For the past few weeks I have been doing commercial photography and graphic art design for a company called Triton Woodworking. Triton wanted a full page ad along with two smaller ads for two separate woodworking print magazines. I was responsible for both the photography of the product and the actual composition and layout of the ad with the end result having to be camera ready for the magazines.     For more images and words click on the above thumbnails.

Alister Vile:   The Hunger from Within  Last week I was involved with a photoshoot with a new model called Aleister Vile. What is interesting about Aleister is that he is the lead singer of a Dark Metal band called Endless Curse as well as being a painter and a graphic artist. Another cool individual that took part in this photo session is Fancee a make-up artist which I recently met at a Halloween party.     For a larger image click on the above thumbnails.

CD Art Cover Design:   Black Reign  This is my latest CD Art Cover, featuring a DarkWave Band called Black Reign. The idea came from a photo session I did this past February with a model called Isabelle, an actress/model, who has been doing horror movies since 2001. I created the many layers in both Photoshop CS2 and Macromedia Fireworks 8 which are two of my favorite image editors.     For more images and words click on the above thumbnails.

Superstone:   New Poster  For the past year I have been working with a rock band called "Superstone" who will soon be releasing their new CD. I wanted to do something cool that would showcase the band and give them promotional material for their new release. I was first introduced to Superstone last summer at Lift-Off 2005, where they were the opening act for recording artist, David Wilcox. What first struck me about the band was how well they played and how good their presence was on stage.     For more images and words click on the above thumbnails.

" Best Of ":   Gallery #2  I finally have a new " Best Of " Gallery to view. This gallery is of images which either have *never* appeared on my website or are highlights from my work over the past two years. Kelly Abbass:   Persephone - Maiden Goddess  I had the pleasure of working with a new model, named Kelly, last week and it turned out to be an awesome photo shoot. This latest image is one of several sets we took that day. I love the simplicity of this image and the rich symbolism implied in the simple act of Kelly cradling a pomegranate in her palm.     For more images and words click on the above thumbnails.

Photoshop Tutorial:   The Unforgiven  This is a poster that I have been working on, on and off, for the past two weeks. The original image is of a little church I saw while driving in Montreal, I often stop and take stock photographs of things that I find interesting along the way. The final image was created in Adobe Photoshop, one of the best image editors on the market today, along with a few plugins I picked up over the years. The titles were done mostly in Macromedia Fireworks MX, then exported back to Photoshop.     For more images and words click on the above thumbnails.
